Ever thought about Space Coast Luxury Home Upgrades and what that means to you? There are things that you fall in love with it in a home when you go to buy it. A lot of the luxury upgrades are really amazing and spectacular. However, you have to understand the negatives of these upgrades. Before you move ahead see if they’re worth it for you and your overall plan!
One of them is in-floor heating or radiant heat, which is amazing and a lot of people have switched to that. The energy savings is pretty good in terms of how they were done. Basically, it depends on the job and how much of the home has radiant heat but there are a lot of pros and you can read about them here. The cons are they are still considered a luxury. They can add a bit of value to home. Long term issues have not been worked out so we’re not sure if this is going to be something that’s going to become standard or not. You kind of really want to think about your long term goals with in-floor heating.
The other thing is a pool. In Florida, there’s a lot of homes that have pools. Pools are obviously a big plus. The pros are pretty much obvious. Anyone who has had a pool will know. The cons are they’re not as safe as people may think. You have to be really careful. There’s a lot of maintenance and there’s a lot of money involved. Even though there could be a pro to having a pool added to your home, you have to remember that not every buyer wants to have their own pool and deal with all those issues.
The next item would be dream kitchen. These beautiful kitchens that are all custom and they’re pretty amazing. You can spend in excess of $15,000 for pounded copper range hoods. In a lot of the luxury homes you have to keep up with the competition when it comes to kitchens and bathrooms, especially kitchens. However you have to be careful that not everybody’s utility is the same so and also when you’re looking at kitchens as a buyer, you have to think about what you want. They may have an outdoor pizza oven but is that something you’re ever going to use. You have to think about how important it is to you and act accordingly.
The other item would be activity rooms. Obviously, it’s a broad categorization. There’s rooms such as workshops, game rooms, exercise rooms. Those are fantastic to have. Again, each one of them has their own pluses and minuses but again, if you spend $50,000 on a game room and people don’t like playing games, that’s going to be a drawback when you go to sell the house. If you’re looking to add these types of rooms to add value, you really have to think about what your buyer may or may not want before you do something like that.
You should try to let reason prevail when thinking about upgrades. You may absolutely worship the tumbled marble rainforest shower with the heated towel rack. But it will be little comfort every morning and night when you’re cursing the home’s lack of closet space. It’s often the most boring attributes of a home that will give you the most pleasure.
